Fly Like A Girl San Carlos Flight Center safety club

Drone Girl to speak at “Fly Like A Girl” club at San Carlos Flight Center

As drones continue to have a growing impact in our airspace, the aviation community is looking to learn more about how drones interact with manned aircraft.

That’s why yours truly, me, The Drone Girl, will be speaking at the December meetup of the “Fly Like A Girl” group at the San Carlos Flight Center on Wednesday, Dec. 5 at 6:30 p.m. I’ll be talking about airspace issues surrounding drones and safety considerations.

Fly Like a Girl is a group for women pilots and girls interested in STEM, airspace and aeronautical engineering with a goal to introduce them to flying and aviation. The group has fly outs, kid’s camps, bimonthly meetings and safety seminars, held at the San Carlos Flight Center.

The group brings in amazing guest speakers, such as last month’s meetup with living legend Jean Harmon, WWII veteran and overall amazing woman who flew for the Woman Airforce Service Pilots.
