Women Who Drone

Women Who Drone night comes to San Francisco this weekend

Any San Franciscans looking for weekend plans? Women Who Drone, an online female drone pilot community, is hosting a meetup in San Francisco this Friday, Dec. 14, including free drinks and DJI giveaways.

The event will be anchored with a talk by Elena Buenrostro, founder of Woman Who Drone, who will be sharing her Mavic 2 tips and tricks to her personal shooting stories.

The event will run from 7-9 p.m. at the Peak Design Flagship Store at 529 Hayes Street in San Francisco.

All genders are welcomed to participate in the Women Who Drone community.

Of course, there are a growing number of other communities and meetup groups catering to the growing world of drones.

In San Francisco, check out Girls Who Drone, a group for women in the San Francisco Bay Area. For South Bay drone pilots, as well as people interested in general aviation administration, there’s the Fly Like A Girl club, based out of the San Carlos Flight Center (I actually spoke at their meetup last month!). West Coasters willing to travel can attend the annual Women in Drones luncheon as part of Interdrone.

For a fantastic, female-only community of drone pilots around the world, Amelia Droneharts is the place to be.

Is there a community or set of drone events that YOU love to be a part of? Leave a comment below, and happy flying!
