Amazon Prime Day 2019 drone deals

Day 2 of Amazon Prime Day 2019 drone deals are here

Day 2 of Amazon Prime Day 2019’s deals bonanza is here. Although it’s a day in name, the sale is a day in name only. This year’s Amazon Prime Day sale lasts a whopping 48 hours, which means there are plenty of drone deals to be had.

Here are some of our favorites on Day 2 of Amazon Prime Day 2019:

  • Save $6 on this “Tiny Whoop” style Holy Stone drone ($23.99, down from $29.99): This drone resembles the popular “Tiny Whoop” racing drone — though it’s made by a different manufacturer. It’s tiny, so would make a great stocking stuffer for Christmas in July. Unlike the Tiny Whoop, it won’t connect easily with FPV Goggles, but you can see what the drone’s camera is seeing through a smartphone app. It’s a great toy for kids — and kids at heart.
Which drone skin is your favorite? I like the blue one on the top right!
  • DJI Drone Skins to customize your drone ($12.72, down from $15.90): These are a fun, low-cost way to spice up your drone and give it some personal flair! The waterproof decals made of 3M Scotchcal are easy to paste on your DJI drone and controller. Designs (through UV inkjet printing technology) include camouflage, a cool, outer-space looking design, and a calming blue (my favorite). I also like how these function up as a protection device for your drone, as they are tough to scratch.
  • 20% off the Samsung T5 Portable 500 GB SSD ($80, down from $100): You have tons of drone footage, so make sure you have a place to store it, and a backup…and even a backup of the backup. This portable SSD is super reliable — and fast. It’s also ultra-compact, so you can take it in your drone case to store your footage to it right away.
  • Save $18 on the DJI Portable Charging Station for Spark Quadcopter Starters Bundle ($72, down from $90): This is a super interesting product that can wirelessly charge up to three batteries at a time. It takes about 2.5 hours to charge three batteries (total power of 5000 mAh), plus it can charge your phone or other devices via its USB port. I haven’t tried it myself, but reviews are overwhelmingly positive, and the whole device seems wildly convenient (and very well-priced). Of course, the charging station itself needs to be recharged too; that takes 1 hour and 35 minutes.
  • DJI Mavic Air Travel Bag ($28.80, down from $69): This price has been further reduced since yesterday! What a huge deal, even more so today. I have this Mavic Air bag personally, and I like it because it isn’t super obviously a drone bag (it could be a super stylish lunch bag, okay?!), good in situations where you don’t want to draw attention to the fact that you are here with a drone. I like the external pocket, which allows me to tuck in my iPhone and wallet, too.

B&H Photo also offering similar deals

New York-based photo store B&H Photo is offering up tons of deals that also run between now and Wednesday, July 17. Most of the deals are exactly the same as what you’ll find from the DJI Super Sale, but there’s another reason we like B&H.

Residents of 28 states don’t have to pay sales tax (which could potentially also save you an additional ~$100, depending on what you buy). Only residents of the following states have to pay sales tax: Alaska, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, North Carolina, North Dakota, New Jersey, New York, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Vermont, Washington (state), and Wisconsin. If your state isn’t listed here, no sales tax for you!

Here’s what you get with the DJI Mavic Air Fly More Combo
