Cyber Monday 2019 is here, which means tons of deals for dronies all around. There are deals on actual drones, like the DJI Mavic 2 Pro and DJI Tello Iron Man Edition, there are deals on accompanying gear, like the Osmo Action and there are deals on the stuff you need to run a drone business, like training for your Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate.
We found the best drone Cyber Monday deals of 2019, with finds from DJI’s shop, Amazon, B&H, Drone Launch Academy, Drone Pilot Ground School and more.
DJI is also running their own larger Black Friday and Cyber Monday sale. For a complete list of DJI’s Cyber Monday 2019 drone sale offerings, click here.

Here are our top drone Cyber Monday 2019 deals:
The DJI Mavic 2 Pro is one of the latest in DJI’s Mavic line of drones, and it’s by far the best (there’s the Mavic Mini as the newest drone, but most serious drone pilots will skip that in favor of the Mavic 2 Pro). The Mavic 2 Pro, which was engineered in partnership with cameramaker Hasselblad after DJI acquired the company two years ago, naturally comes equipped with the all-new Hasselblad L1D-20c camera.
Where to buy: $234.99 on Amazon.com (usually $249)
While not a super eye-popping discount at first, this is actually a deal, as Apple AirPods Pro rarely goes on sale, making this a pretty noteworthy discount. Plus, the Pro version is a big step up from the originals in terms of sound quality. Most DJI people tend to be Apple people, so I included this on the list as I know many readers (and myself) will want to grab these!
Where to buy: $499 on the Drone Launch Academy site (usually $1,095)
Drone Launch Academy started as a portal for online Part 107 training courses, but they’ve since grown to offer other training programs to augment your drone skill sets (and thus enable you to charge more money for your work). Between now and Cyber Monday, they’re offering a few bundled packages to earn you discounts. The best deal of the set is the “Ultimate Drone Pilot Bundle Pro” package, which includes the following:
- Aerial Photo Pro (normally $199)
- Aerial Video A to Z (normally $397)
- Aerial Roof Inspection Pro (normally $499)
Where to buy: $89 on DJI.com (usually $129)
Dronies, unite! The Tello Iron Man edition, gives you get the classic Tello drone (that’s a kid-focused drone made by a Chinese startup called Ryze Tech in partnership with DJI and Intel) but wrapped up in an Iron Man design. If Iron Man isn’t your style, DJI is also offering a Cyber Monday sale on the standard Tello (save $30; now $69 vs. $99).
While I’m a big fan of the new GoPro, DJI offers its own action camera that’s a worthy competitor, called the DJI Osmo Action. And it’ a worth competitor. The DJI Osmo Action is a waterproof camera shooting 4K/60fps 100Mbps video, dual screens, and EIS.
If most of your other gear is DJI, then it makes sense to stick with the DJI family rather than get a new piece of hardware from a different company.
For silky smooth video on the ground, the DJI Osmo Pocket is your key. Whether or not you’re a drone pilot, the Osmo can provide a cinematic, smooth look with its 3-axis gimbal stabilized handheld camera on the ground. I’ve seen people use this in the gym even!
Plus, it’s so tiny that it literally fits in your pocket.
Where to buy: $57.99 on Amazon.com (usually $109.99)
If you’ve got a trove of drone footage, you need a place to store it. The 500 GB size of the Samsung 860 Evo is more than enough, plus it’s fast, and it’s durable. While I’ve considered the Samsung 860 Evo ‘expensive,’ as far as SSDs go, with this Cyber Monday sale, you’re looking at a really good deal and a great price for a super quality item.
From now through Thursday, Dec. 5, get $107 off Drone Pilot Ground School. DPGS is the largest Part 107 training course in the world, and it’s actually what I used to study for (and pass on my first try!) the Part 107 test. Plus, they offer a money-back guarantee that you’ll also pass on your first try.
While the course is normally $299, it’s on sale during Cyber Week for just $192. Discounted pricing runs through ends Dec. 5, 2019 at 11:59 p.m. ET.
Their course includes more than 70 video-based lectures, 350 practice questions, a “cram sheet” and one-on-one support. Often Alan Perlman (the course creator) himself will personally respond to you!
Where to buy: $134.99 on Amazon.com (usually $229.99)
Another way to store all your drone footage if you don’t want to go the SSD route: the WD My Passport Wireless Pro 2TB. This 2 TB drive has an SD card slot, making it easy to automatically copy your memory card to the internal hard disk, so you can transition your footage immediately from your drone to the disc, no computer required. Plus, it’s Wi-fi enabled, so you can access it with your smartphone, great to instantly upload your footage as soon as your drone comes back to earth.
Where to buy: $22.45 on Amazon.com (usually $29.95)
This is marketed as a toiletry bag, but it’s actually an amazing cable, memory card and general accessory organizer. I find it much easier to find and organize small parts like propellers via this bag than with the drone cases I’ve seen. There are tons of pockets, and I also like the loop you can hang it on, allowing me to more easily double check that I have everything on my preflight checklist.
Where to buy: $14.24 on Amazon.com (usually $18.99)
I LOVE Clif Bars! There’s always one in my gear bag, as I typically find myself doing drone shoots on fairly remote locations, with no vending machines in sight to grab a snack when I need it. These are easy to tuck into your car or drone case so you always have some food while you’re filming. Hangry droning=no fun droning.
You get 16 Clif Bars in the pack, putting you at less than $1 per bar! Pro-tip: cool mint chocolate is my favorite flavor!
